Hey guys

I just arrived in Barcelona. It seems like a pretty nice city. But I'll only be staying for one night. So I'll get a taste of the night life (which I hear great things about) but thats about it. I was going to stay for 2 nights. But after some train schedule mix ups, I'll only be here for 1. I´m off to Madrid tomarrow. Then Geneva for a few days. Then I´ll be flying to the Dublin by Ryan air. Most of their flights are cheaper than my train tickets!

PS, EMAIL ME PEOPLE!!!! I WANT TO KNOW WHATS GOING ON WITH YOU!!!!

Love, Ashley

A Canadian in Paris

Hey guys, I just left Paris. It was ok. It seems that people either love the city or loathe it. I thought alright. I stayed with a girl that I met in Prague who is studying abroad in Paris. To show her and her room mate my graditude, I cooked them Goulash and Dumplings on my last night(We both developed a taste for Czech food). Aside for singeing their cutting board, it went really well. I did all the touristy things. When to the Arch the Triumphe, Jim Morrisons grave, Hotel de Invalides, and of course, the Eifell Tower. If you ever head over to Paris, be prepaired to make two trips to the Eifell tower. Once in the morning and once in the evening. Go in the morning to take the elevator and to go the various floors. Early morning is the least busiest time. Here is a pic of me on the second floor.....

I took it 5 times and the flash refused to go off. Stupid camera. Those are the Tracadaro fountains in the background.

Go in the evening as well because that is when the tower is lit up. The light it up with regular lights around 7pm. But then around 8pm they turn on these really crazy white lites. They're scattered all over the tower. Its really quite amazing to see. It was still somewhat light outside when I was there. Soon after it got a little bit dark, it started to pour buckets. Another cool thing that about it is the search light thing. A light from the very top spins and looks like a search light from a helicopter or something.

Love you and miss you,

-Ashley

One wild night in Prague.

My room mate and I went to a bar here in Prague last night. We ended up running into a group of Welsh guys who were throwing a bacherlor party. So we ended up hanging out with them for the night. They bought us like 5 beers each; which is always a plus. We later went to a few clubs. But anything else you probably don't want to know about.

Anyway, heading off to Paris tomarrow.

Prague Rocks!

I arrived in Prague last night. I love it here. I went to an exibit of Alfonse Mucha. He was one of the most important artists during the Art Neaveaux period. The people here are really nice and everything is super cheap. You can get a beer for 60 crowns. Or roughly 2.50 euros(I won't even try to think in CAD until I get back). I went on a tour of the river today. I'm going on another bar tour tomarrow and I'm going on a ghost walk on Friday. I'm safe and sound and all that. So don't worry.

Anyway, until next time.

PROST!

If Munich should be remembered for one thing, its the endless supply of beer. Since the moment I arrived a few days ago, big jugs of beers have just been finding their way to my mouth. And the funny thing is, I only remember paying for it once. Free beer is always good in my book. I went on this tour of all the best bars in Munich last night. It was tons of fun. We would be walking alond the street from one bar to the next and every now and then the guide would be like ´Before we can go any further, everyone must do a shot.´ He´d reach in to his bag and bring out 50 plastic shot glasses and a bottle of flavored vodka. And we´d all do a shot on the street. The German word for ´cheers´is ´prost´. The company that does the tour posts pics of the night on their webpage. It can be seen here:

I´m in all the group shots, but I can be most easily seen in pics 4, 6, 87, and 91.
My hostel is throwing a Playboy (the bunny part anway) inspired easter party in the hostel bar.
Anyway, keep sending me emails people! I want to make sure everyone back home is still alive and whatnot.
