Where in the world is Ashley Churchill?

Hey everyone, I just landed in Amman a few hours ago. With the exception of a few screaming babies, the 11 hour flight wasn't too bad. One kid really started wailing so I asked the flight attendant for a drink. She came back with a diet pepsi and I bucket of whisky. So I can't complain.

Hey everyone. Its 1:20pm EST.

I'm leaving tonight. I can't wait. I have a transfer in NYC then its all about the 11 hour flight to Amman. I know most people like to sleep on the plane, but I plan on drinking lots of red bull and keep awake. Its going to be 5 pm when I arrive, and I want to be awake and alert for my trip to Petra. If you're unaware of where Petra is, its a city about 4 hours south of Amman. Its renowned for its architecture from about 2000 years ago. If you've seen Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade; near the end, when Indiana and the guys go into the "Canyon of the Cresent Moon" its actually 'The Treasury', probably the most popular momument in Petra. It (as well as most of the other structures in Petra) was carved straight out of the side of a gorge. This is what it looks like>>>>>>

Hi everyone.

I'm starting this blog to keep in touch with all the folks back home. Its Wendesday evening. So I have a few more days until I leave. The first country that I'm going to is Jordan. I'll be spending a few days in Petra and then head off to Egypt. After Egypt, its Greece then Italy. After Italy I'm pretty much going to wing it. Anyway, keep checking my blog to see what I'm up to.
