I got a free dinner from my hostel last night. It was ok. I ate one of my three apples for breakfast this morning. Scored lunch with some free samples at a restaurant. Hopefully I'll get another dinner tonight. Along with my Eurail Pass, I left some cereal bars at the hostel in Bologna. Hopefully those are still there. I can't wait until Friday.

It's a bummer that the rush due to the time change was too consequential to your budget constraint. The upside to this rather uncomfortable situation is you're now becoming an expert in free food prospecting. I would treat you a good meal if I were there at the moment. Hang in there!
